Erik reminds me of lightning. There are positive and negative charges, the positive being his parents and friends, negative being his grandparents and brother, Paul. The lightning, or Erik, looks for a good conductor of electricity, or support, like Arthur. Once they find that object they strike, and hard. From an outside view lightning is a phenomenon, and looks amazing. However, if you look deeper you will find negative effects like getting struck by lightning. Same goes for Erik, at first he seems great, but once you look deeper, into his evil side, you will never thing the same about him again.
